Basketball Goals
Ordinance Number 1072, Section 19-12, Placing of basketball goal upon city street or sidewalk.
It shall be unlawful for any person to erect, construct, place or cause a basketball goal to be placed, permanently or temporarily, upon a city street or sidewalk, or closer than ten (10) feet to the curb line of a city street. (This ordinance was written because of numerous complaints the Del City Police Department has received regarding street basketball players that were impeding traffic by repeatedly blocking city streets and refusing to move when traffic was passing in the area.)
